We are open throughout the year to provide long-term childcare as well as flexible short-term and ad hoc options. Our learning model allows us to do things differently - we don't intend to specify a minimum number of days or hours that your child attends. We work with you to decide what is best for you and your child.
Children arrive to enjoy breakfast together. It's a social event to enjoy talking about their interests, sharing stories and talking about what they'd like to enjoy doing during the day.
After breakfast, it is busy playtime. Exploring our themed resources independently. Time to settle into the day and get the mind warmed up for the activities ahead.
We will start our structured learning time with a story, songs and hands-on language development. Our focus is talking, repetition, practicing our communication and responses. We will play in groups and independently.
This time is for developing early scientific language and understanding. We go outdoors to explore how things work and why things work the way they do. We investigate what happens.
Using songs, familiar toys and movement, we learn to understand mathematical properties of numbers, shapes and measures. We explore patterns, ordering, comparing and more!
A precious time in the day for letting the body and mind rest to grow and develop. We promote restful sleep on comfortable and cosy mats.
We use stories and small world play to help develop a sense of self and others. We support understanding of personal hygiene, social interactions and following rules.
We spend time outdoors enjoying physical activity. This is a time for learning to balance, co-ordinate, develop strength and flexibility.
We encourage free expression through drawing, painting, colouring, moulding, decorating and modelling. Using a wide range of art materials, we support the development of good hand-eye control and co-ordination.
Expressive arts activities are used to support the development of confidence, self-expression in movement and performance.
With a long day of learning, our after dark hours (to 5pm) learning focuses on sensory exploration with lights and calming experiences to create a restful evening. Encouraging quiet and self-interest play at the end of the day supports a calm transition back home.
