We are committed to organising a wide range of experiences for our children to participate in.  This includes off-site visits.  We believe that giving children real-life experiences in real-life settings extends their learning of life skills in context.

For all off-site experiences, we produce a Risk Assessment that is written during a pre-visit by two members of staff. This is an extensive risk assessment covering all aspects of the visit from transportation, lunchtimes, weather coverage, incidents and accidents etc.  The risk assessment process involves a full walk-through of the visit, identifying safe meeting places, facilities, customer service points, and consideration of parents' and staffs' needs.

We offer the following visits to local amenities:

• Swimming Lessons (Belgrave High School, Tamworth)
• Atherstone Library
• Atherstone Town centre
• St Mary's Church, Atherstone
• Royal Meadow Drive Park and Playground, Atherstone
• River and Roads Cafe, Alder Mill Business Park
• Parkinson's Farm, Sheepy Magna
• Sheepy Magna Church and Village (Scarecrow Festival)

We also provide visits to additional parts of our site including:

• Sensory Garden (opposite our building)
• Physical Play Area (opposite our building)
• Wildlife Walk (big field)
• Free-flow area (outside Willow Room)

We transport children within our business vehicles and engage Triple A Taxis, Atherstone, to provide transport to and from venues.  We have appropriate car seats and insurance to carry out our transporting needs.

We invite parental involvement at all of our off-site visits.  This includes transporting children to and from venues and joining the visit with their child.  Get involved and come along!
